Determinants of Food Insecurity in Pakistan: An Empirical Investigation at Household Level

Pakistan is facing severe level of food insecurity in terms physical and economic access. In this regard, current study will focus to empirically investigate the leading determinants by using HIES 2019 data set. Household Expenditures Survey (HES) method be used find status Pakistan. method, information about quantities expenditure incidence at household level. Further, logistic regression model was most appropriate technique for analyzing This concluded that there negative significant relationship between size household, distance drinking water Whereas, positive found income households, family head education, age male household. Study suggests that, policies should adopted increase education (to raise literacy rate), social welfare, employment opportunities etc. Policy makers design physical, access toward healthy prioritizing agriculture sector as life line sustainable development inclusive growth long run.
